A short film following activities based on North Scale beach, Walney Island. Art Gene worked with schools, families and members of the public in a series of fun and educational activities. The Walney Meetings Project explores the rich cultural, historical and ecological heritage of Walney Island.

Walney Island is a nine-mile-long spit of glacial till, off the southwestern corner of Cumbria. It has a rich and unique natural and cultural history. The Walney Meetings the ancient name for the point at which the tides meet from north and south as they circle the isle.
