Barrow’s Salty Yarns was a community heritage pilot project that will focused on the tales of the sea of Barrow-in-Furness, that have been passed down through the generations and need capturing for posterity. This short pilot project focused on Rampside, Roa and Piel Island area, artists and filmmakers engaged with the community, extracting stories, tales and legends, through a series of workshops and activities. The project ended with a celebration event showcasing the work created by the artists and community in a short period of time.
The project was kindly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Produced and managed by Rachel Capovila.
